Craig Morgan’s New CD, This Ole Boy, Is Out Today

With the release of his new CD, This Ole Boy, Craig Morgan says, “I think if you love and know Craig Morgan and you like my music it’s gonna be what you want.” Craig continues, “I think we’ve finally, as close as you can come to perfection in the studio and the process, I think we’ve come as close to perfecting what Craig Morgan does as we ever will.  I don’t know that we will ever get it this right again because of the label, the energy that I had when I went into the studio, the wellness I felt, I’ve never been so excited.”

Toadlick wishes Craig every success with This Ole Boy and knows everyone attending Toadlick Music Festival looks forward to seeing him perform with perfection!

Justin Moore Planning Hometown Fundraiser

The Country Vibe reports: “Justin Moore, who is from Poyen, Arkansas, has wanted to organize a hometown event to raise money for charity, and it looks like 2012 may be the year he’ll get it started.  “I kinda wanted to wait until I had what I thought was a legitimate platform instead of just going down there and raising a few hundred dollars, which every little bit counts.”  Now that he’s had some success and could attract more attention to an event and raise more money he says, “We’ve been trying to find a date for it.”  Plus he’s already started enlisting friends.  Justin boasts, “Darius [Rucker] owes me a bet.  We bet on the South Carolina/Arkansas game last year, so he lost it so he’s gotta come do a charity event for free for me.  F-R-E-E, free.  We just gotta find a date.”  As a father of two healthy little girls Justin will likely choose St. Jude as the beneficiary of his event because he says, “I’ve got a soft place in my heart for that place and those kids.  I mean I’ve been able to go down and visit those kids and see that.  And if that don’t touch your life and change you then you’ve got something wrong with you.””

Toadlick Music Festival is proud to present such a sharing heart with folks in March 2012! See you at Toadlick!

Joe Nichols and Wife Are Expecting Their First Child

Toadlick would like to extend hearty congratulations to Joe Nichols and his wife, Heather. The pair are expecting their first child this spring.  Heather told People magazine, “After trying to have a baby for so long, we are thrilled to announce that I am pregnant.”  Joe added, “I have to give all the credit to my wife — she has been a trooper through all of this, and I am so happy.”  Nashville News reports, “This is especially big news because Joe revealed last November that he and Heather had been seeing fertility specialists and trying to have a baby for four years.  The couple was married in September 2007 and this will be their first child together.  Joe has a 13 year old daughter, Ashelyn, from a prior relationship.”

Dierks Bentley Named Best Dressed by GQ

Toadlick Music Festival headliner, Dierks Bentley, was named by Gentlemen’s Quarterly Magazine as one of the best dressed men at the Grammy Awards this past Saturday evening. GQ reports, “Dierks shows us that when the codes of dress are as all over as they are at these awards, sometimes going the simple route is best. The black crewneck and slacks make for a sleek silhouette, while the beat-up leather jacket breaks things up and gives a rugged edge to the country star’s look.”

Toadlick completely agrees.

Jake Owen recently met up with a few Navy SEALS and caught the premier of the new movie, Act of Valor. The movie stars active duty Navy SEALS and will be in theaters on Feburary 24.  Some of the Navy SEALS from the film were also at the premiere, and afterwards, Jake took our heros to downtown Nashville and so they could visit famous honky tonks in lower Broadway. About the experience, Jake said, “Getting to hang out with the Navy SEALS last night was truly the biggest honor of my life.”  Did we mention that both Jake Owen and Trace Adkins, who will be performing at Toadlick in March, also contributed to the movie’s soundtrack? Oh yea, y’all are going to love Act of Valor.

Dierks Bentley’s New CD, Home, Is Now Available

Dierks Bentley’s new CD, entitled Home, is now available in stores everywhere.

Reuters reports: “If the single “Home” is the cornerstone of Dierks Bentley’s latest album of the same name, then the song “Thinking of You” is the CD’s hearth because the fire within it warms both body and soul.

Bentley wrote the song for his 3-year-old daughter, Evie, who sings on the track of the new album that went on sale on Tuesday.

“I’m not someone to put their kid on their album,” Bentley, the father of two daughters, told Reuters in an interview. “I got this email on my birthday when I was out on the road and it was Evie singing that song back to me. It just about broke my heart. It was the best and worst birthday present ever.

“It’s so real and honest and I just couldn’t take it off the track once I heard it. You know in country music there are sad songs about drinking and love gone wrong but there’s another whole level of sad when you’re missing your daughter. That’s a whole range of emotion there I’d never felt before.”"

Catch Dierks at Toadlick in a few weeks, we’re sure you’ll hear Home.

David Nail Nails #1 Hit

In less than a year, David Nail has hit #1 with “Let It Rain.” David reacts to the great news by saying “I am the son of a high school band director and music is all I think God created me to do.  It is not an easy dream to pursue, but I can’t imagine anything else.  And right now, I feel like I am doing what was intended. To get validated when you’re chasing something like this is maybe the greatest feeling in the world.”

Recently announced David Nail will perform “Let It Rain” and his other hits at the Toadlick Music Festival, Dothan, Alabama, March 2012.

Trace Adkins NRA Country’s Artist of the Month

“I grew up in the Sportsman’s Paradise – Louisiana, so I guess it isn’t a surprise that the great outdoors has always been a big part of my life. All my favorite memories involve the outdoors – whether it was playing outside as a kid, playing football in college, horsing around with my kids, or going hunting. I support NRA Country because they share my love of the outdoors and my wish to safeguard America’s hunting heritage. I am Trace Adkins and I am NRA Country.”

Toadlick congratulates Trace Adkins on his selection as NRA Country’s Artist of the Month for January 2012. See Trace at Toadlick Music Festival in March of 2012.
